The Center is actively expanding support for faculty and graduate students, building relationships with other universities and think tanks, and enhancing its role in the community.

2013-2014 Graduate Student Fellowship (for UCLA Graduate Student, UCLA Undergraduate Student, Other University/ Institution/ K-12 Teacher, Basic Account/Job Applicant)
Application Period: 12/10/2012 - 5/10/2013
Center fellowships provide support to UCLA graduate students working in the fields of literature, linguistics, history, anthropology, architecture, art history, theater, ethnomusicology, sociology, and political science, as well as professional training related to Japan. Each application must be accompanied by a copy of transcript (official) and two letters of recommendation from faculty members who are familiar with the applicant’s academic performance. There is no citizenship requirement.
